As we have already said in other occasions, delays in production in China are related to determined dates (Christmas, New Year, national holidays, etc.), as well as the restricted use of electricity in some areas. We tell you 5 things to keep in mind if you are going to place a large order before summer:
1. China is a giant full of factories, so power plants do not give supply to power. Therefore, the production has been regularized depending on the energy restriction.
Summer is a date in which all exporters from China accelerate their pace to get orders before the holiday period. However, factories, because of this restriction, will not cater to all customers. Therefore, keep in mind that delays in the production of your product import from China can be notable.
2. The summer in China is hot, so people spend more energy than usual in the use of air conditioning. This adds more problems to the energy restriction: the Chinese Government is forced to order factories to turn off their electric systems 1 or 2 days per week, which dramatizes further production delays.
3. Make a pre-shipment inspection is necessary, but perhaps that is not enough during this summer period of high activity. To avoid even more delays, we recommend you adapt your quality control in China conducting an inspection during production, in order to verify the conformity of the products while the merchandise is still in manufacturing line.
